Niko Bellic is the hero of GTA IV, and is maybe perhaps the best character ever in a GTA game. He is a previous trooper from Yugoslavia who comes to Liberty City after hearing how "fruitful" his cousin has been around there. Upon arrival, Niko finds that his cousin, Roman, has been lying about his wealth and the daily routine of solace and abundance that he experiences around there. He at last gets entangled in the Liberty City coordinated wrongdoing, best summarized by this statement of his in GTA IV:
More people want me dead than alive. I'm working for the Mafia. The police and a government agency are both on my case. I kill and steal to scrape together a living, so my cousin can fritter it away online and pay off debts...and all the while? People are trying to kill us! What is fun? ― Niko Bellic
Niko Bellic History from Grand Theft Auto IV
Niko was brought into the world in 1978 and brought up in Yugoslavia, and it is inferred that his dad was a liquor abusive. He had a sibling who kicked the bucket in the Yugoslavian War, and he joined the military while still a youngster. A long-lasting trooper who is solidified by his encounters in war, Niko Bellic is a very risky character who shockingly has an incredible funny bone.
